dm4d’s mission
Dance Music for Democracy (DM4D) is a 501(c)(3) non-partisan, not-for-profit organization that brings together advocates, creators, lovers, and warriors of all ages, races, genders, sexualities, and religions for the benefit of defending our right to be seen and heard.
We bring dance music to the people in order to bring the people to the polls, addressing the issue of low voter registration and turnout by conducting voter registration drives at dance music events, while producing our own one-of-a-kind, live dance music events marrying some of today’s best acts with voter education efforts.
Through grassroots fundraising and a generous donor base, we support every individual’s right to choose their future for themselves, dancing their way into participating in one of the most revolutionary systems of government in the world: the “power of the people” (democracy, of course).
